Large vehicle repair is a craft trade. A laminated sidewall, a Schwintek slide, a multi stage paint blend and a commercial chassis measurement are four different skill sets, and the shop is staffed accordingly.
Who will you deal with?
An estimator documents the damage, writes the estimate and owns the carrier conversation. That is the person you will speak to most, and they stay on your file rather than handing it off.
Body and structural technicians handle panel, frame, fiberglass and aluminum work. Paint technicians handle matching, blending and refinishing in the booth. Systems technicians handle electrical, plumbing, LP, appliance and slide mechanisms.
