RV Inspection and Damage Evaluation in Placentia, California

RV inspections and damage evaluations are performed in-shop, where the roof is reachable on a safe platform, the underside is accessible and the systems can be run under real load. Inspections run $250 to $1,200 by coach size and scope. The $150 RV systems estimate is applied as a credit toward any repair you authorize. Placentia is ten minutes away.

What does an in-shop RV inspection actually cover?

Structure, envelope and systems. That means chassis and outrigger condition, wall cage squareness, roof membrane and every seam, sidewall moisture readings, slide-out operation and seals, awning condition, and a function test of electrical, plumbing, propane and every installed appliance.

Moisture work is the heart of it. Readings are taken at the usual entry points, meaning window and door flanges, awning rails, slide flanges, roof penetrations and the lower sidewall, and anything elevated is probed to distinguish surface dampness from failed substrate.

Systems are exercised rather than glanced at. The generator gets loaded, the air conditioners are run, the water system is pressurized, the furnace is cycled and the refrigerator is run on both gas and electric, because appliances routinely pass a visual check and fail under actual operation.

Why do you inspect only at your facility?

Because a meaningful inspection needs a level floor, an elevated platform to walk the roof safely, underside access, shore power to run the whole coach, water supply, and the diagnostic instruments. Those things live at 23281 La Palma Ave, and an inspection performed without them is worth much less.

The other advantage is continuity. If the inspection finds a problem, the same technicians who documented it can quote and perform the repair, and the photographs already in the file support the estimate rather than requiring a second evaluation from scratch.

For Placentia buyers the logistics are simple. The shop is roughly ten minutes east on Yorba Linda Blvd, so arranging for a seller to bring a coach in, or having it transported, is a short trip rather than a day's undertaking.

Questions we get asked

How much does a pre-purchase RV inspection cost?
Between $250 and $1,200 depending on coach size and depth of scope. A travel trailer envelope and systems check sits near the bottom. A comprehensive evaluation of a large diesel pusher with full systems testing and a detailed written report sits at the top of that range.
Can you inspect a coach I am buying from a private seller?
Yes, with the seller's cooperation to bring the coach to the shop. All inspections are performed in-shop because the roof platform, underside access, shore power and instrumentation are here. Placentia buyers regularly use the written report to renegotiate price or to walk away from a bad unit.
Is the $150 estimate the same as an inspection?
No. The $150 RV systems estimate is a focused evaluation of a specific complaint, and it is applied as a credit toward the resulting repair. A full inspection is a comprehensive review of the entire coach with a written condition report, and it is priced by size and scope.
Will you tell me if a repair is not worth doing?
Yes. Some coaches are past the point where repair makes financial sense, particularly where main frame rails are twisted or where water damage has consumed the floor and both sidewalls. We give you the measured findings and the honest number, and we stand behind our work either way.
