Additional RV Services for Placentia, California Owners
Beyond collision, paint and systems work, OCRV Center fabricates one-off parts for discontinued coaches, performs full detailing and reconditioning at $95 per hour, and conducts in-shop inspections and damage evaluations. Placentia owners are about ten minutes from the facility on La Palma Ave. Everything here happens in the building, where the tooling, lighting and lift capacity are.
When does an RV repair require custom fabrication?
When the part no longer exists. Coach manufacturers discontinue floorplan specific components quickly, and a ten year old unit frequently needs a bracket, a compartment door, a molding, a bumper or a slide support that is simply unavailable at any price from any supplier.
Fabrication also solves upgrade problems. Mounting a new air conditioner, a solar array, a heavier bike rack or a replacement generator into a coach that was not designed for it needs brackets and reinforcement that are engineered for the actual load rather than adapted from something close.
Working from the damaged original is the fastest route when one exists. We template from the remaining part or from the mounting footprint, which produces a replacement that bolts up to the existing holes rather than requiring new penetrations through a sealed exterior.
Why get an RV inspected before buying it?
Because the two most expensive RV problems, water intrusion and structural damage, are both largely invisible on a walkthrough. A seller with a freshly detailed coach and a fresh bead of sealant over a failing seam can hide a five figure repair from a buyer who does not know where to probe.
An in-shop inspection puts the coach on a level floor with the roof reachable on a safe platform and the underside accessible. That is where moisture metering, seam inspection, frame checks and a full systems function test can actually be performed rather than guessed at in a seller's driveway.
The findings are written up with photographs. Whether you buy the coach or walk away, a documented condition report is leverage, and Placentia buyers regularly use ours to renegotiate a price or to decline a unit that looked fine from six feet away.
