Mobile Medical Clinic Coach Bodywork for Placentia Operators
A clinic coach has to come back from a repair sealed, clean and functional, not just straight. Why does exterior panel repair on a clinic coach take longer?
Because the body is an envelope, not a skin. A clinic coach depends on a continuous seal to hold HVAC pressure and filtration performance, and a panel repair that leaves a marginal seam turns into dust intrusion, humidity swings and a filtration system that cannot hold its rating.
We repair panels and seams to restore the clean-room style seal, which means the joint, the substrate behind it and the sealant system all get addressed rather than just the visible surface. Butyl and Sikaflex work is done to the original joint design, and we pressure and water test the repaired zone before the interior goes back together.
HVAC and filtration integrity gets verified after the envelope is closed. A coach that passed before the collision should pass after it, and if the impact deformed a duct chase or a filter housing mount we repair that as part of the body work rather than handing you a separate problem after delivery.
How do you protect exam room equipment during the repair?
By removing what should not be near grinding, welding and paint, and documenting it. Sensitive equipment handling in-shop means we photograph and label connections, pull the units to a controlled area in the building, and reinstall to the same positions and clearances.
Exam room millwork and cabinetry take collision loads through their anchors even when the panels look fine, so we check cabinet mounts, counter supports and partition anchors rather than assuming they survived. Damaged casework is repaired or rebuilt to the original dimensions so the room still functions the way the clinical workflow was designed around.
Hand-wash sink plumbing, drain routing and any medical gas or oxygen line routing get traced before body work begins. Lines are isolated, protected or removed as needed, and reinstalled with the original routing and support spacing. Oxygen line work is treated as a life-safety item, not a plumbing detail.
Wheelchair lifts, including Braun and Ricon units, are inspected for bent platform structure, damaged mounting rails and cycle faults after any impact to the door zone. A lift that binds under load is not usable for patients, so we test cycle it loaded before the coach leaves the Yorba Linda facility, about ten minutes from Placentia.
